This guesthouse, opened in May 2015, is located in the northern part of Zurich, just a 5-minute walk from the exhibition center and Hallenstadion. Each room at Gästehaus Hunziker features free WiFi, wooden floors, and a private bathroom. From Monday to Friday, breakfast is served at the Riedbach restaurant on the ground floor. On weekends, breakfast is offered at the neighboring Bagel Boys restaurant. Rainwater is collected and used for flushing toilets. Heat pumps utilize waste heat from a nearby data center for heating and hot water. Solar panels on the roof cover approximately 40% of the guesthouse’s electricity consumption. Energy-efficient LED lighting is also used throughout the building.
